Cozy coffee-drinking weather is finally here, and so is a new seasonal blend from PT’s Roasting Co. Flannel Season is the blend you’ll want to cuddle up to as the leaves fall. It’s warm and comforting without being too heavy.

Our roasting team set out to create a rich but well-balanced cup with crisp acidity, landing on a three-bean blend of coffees from Central America and Eastern Africa that captures the essence of fall. Expect sweet caramel and fig aromas, rich nutmeg and raisin in the cup, golden apple acidity and a finish reminiscent of shortbread.
Sunflower is back for the third annual Orie’s Garlic Fest, and we can’t wait! This is a fall celebration of all things garlic, with vendors and food makers incorporating all kinds of garlic into their menus. It’s also a cornucopia of the best fall produce and local goods, set in the picturesque Eberly Farms in northwest Wichita. Enjoy a free presentation on how to cook with garlic, let the kids enjoy a hayrack ride, or just kick back a garlic shooter and enjoy the live music.
We’re bringing back our black garlic mocha and black garlic chocolate cake for this special event. What is black garlic, you may ask? It’s a slow-roasted garlic treat that walks the line between sweet and savory. Orie’s describes their home-made black garlic like this:
Black garlic has a sweet and molasses-like flavor that adds a delicious level of complexity to any dish it’s added to. Sprinkle it onto meats, soups and chilis, eggs, hummus, aioli, roasted vegetables and more. It’s also amazing added to desserts like cookies, brownies, or hot chocolate.

Sunflower Espresso is looking for a new member of our mobile café team. Our new barista will join a crew that prides itself on excellent service, heavenly coffee, and a genuine love for our customers.
Our coffee bus serves multiple times per week in the Wichita area, all year long. We use Kansas-roasted coffee, bake our own pastries, and serve everywhere – from Strong Man competitions to food truck rallies to weddings.
To be a Sunflower barista, you’ll need to not only create delicious coffee in all weather conditions, but also drive and set up the bus, and creatively solve problems. You don’t need to have barista or professional driving experience to apply; we’ll teach you the quirks of both the bus and the espresso machine. However, expect to work mornings and on weekends, often in a crowded bus with several coworkers.
Ideal Candidates will also have:
passion for coffee
a valid, unrestricted Kansas driver’s license and reliable transportation
excellent written and verbal communication skills
the ability to work in all weather conditions – from winter to hot summer
the ability to bend, twist, and lift up to 50 pounds
patience for working with customers to create their perfect drink, without patronizing or judging them
passion for a job well done
mega multi-tasking skills, and the ability to think creatively
